Why Hackers HateWindows 7
Why Hackers
Hate Windows 7
Today, groups of hackers usually hired by organized crime  purposely write programs to steal data, including credit cards, banking information, or other sensitive data. The landscape has changed, and will keep changing as technology does. As a systems engineer, part of my job is protecting computers and networks from these threats. Knowing these small facts will let you be able to bend the machine to your will, especially if you have a trick that no one knows about. This can all change in an instant when the owner of the software makes any significant changes to it. You hope that all of the upgrades that are on the new version have nothing to do with the break points that you have found but more than likely there will be new blocks that you will have to hurdle. This is why hackers are having a hard time with the new Windows 7 operating system.Windows 7 Improves Security With Rewritten Code
Even though Microsoft has kept some backwards compatibility, they have rewritten a lot of the operating system software that was lying underneath. They have made big changes to the code that runs the kernel and also the code that manages the memory. Changes such as this can lead to old exploits not working the same way, as they were before. Now the hackers have to dig through all of that code once again so they can find new points of weakness. Even though they might love doing it, it is a time consuming process and there are only so many hours in the day. When you have all of the work that you have done, ruined by a simple patch, then you can get quite frustrated. Read moreA lot of the focus is on security and ways of protecting the network and threats from inside and outside. Every day, hackers work on finding exploits and unpatched systems to break into. In the 1990’s, virus’s were written by kids, and college students more for an annoyance then what they are doing today.

Running With the Bulls Event

Plenty of eMazzanti family, friends and customers joined us for one of the best professional sports experiences in the NYC Metro area. The Red Bulls did not disappoint in their final season match and confidently defeated the Philadelphia Union 1-0, a victory that would catapult them into the 1st round of playoffs were they also defeated FC Dallas en route to a MLS championship.
After the match, everyone got a chance to join us on the field and meet US National Team Player Tim Ream. Needless to say, the experience was electric as everyone got the opportunity to shake hands, get autographs and talk to a local sports hero.eMazzanti Technologies has been a sponsor of the New York Red Bulls since their inception and regularly host events with Red Bulls Players, like the upcoming “Reach Your Goals” event in March 2012, where eMazzanti’s guests will get the opportunity to go one-on-one with Red Bulls players in an XBox 360 Fifa 2012 tournament!View the Event Gallery here.

Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 – Better Together!

Lost in all the hype about the recent Windows 7 is the excitement around the simultaneous launch of Windows Server 2008 R2.
There are probably a few reasons this launch has been so overlooked. First, as I mentioned, it came hand-in-hand with the desktop launch. Clearly, Microsoft’s marketing team doesn’t plan any “I’m a Windows Server” commercials to go along with their current “I’m a PC” campaign, so the masses will often not know about the server. Second is the naming
convention. This is the second time Microsoft has chosen to stick the R2 moniker at the end of a server product name (Windows Server 2003 R2 started the trend) for some unknown reason. I realize they probably don’t want to go through a rebranding campaign every 18 months, but R2 does add much excitement to a product launch. Make no mistake however; Server 2008 R2 is a substantial new product release with a wealth of outstanding new features, and something to certainly get excited about. There is good reason why the new network operating systems was shipped the same time as the desktop. There are a ton of features that are designed to work specifically with clients running Windows 7. It’s clearly Microsoft’s hope that if the lure of Windows 7 on its own is not enough to force a desktop upgrade, the combined power of the two will push it over the edge. They may be on to something with this strategy. While some of the stand-alone or upgraded features are awesome (new versions of Hyper-V and Remote Desktop Services, better performance and scalability), it’s when you combine Server 2008 R2 with Windows 7 that you get all the real benefits
